Unity Developer, West Health
Location: San Diego, CA West Health is an independent, one-of-a-kind initiative whose mission is to lower health care costs by creating innovative, patient-centered solutions that deliver the right care at the right place at the right time. Solely funded by pioneering philanthropists Gary and Mary West, West Health is an initiative combining four separate organizations with a shared goal to lower health care costs – the West Health Institute, the West Health Policy Center, the West Health Investment Fund, and the West Health Incubator. The Unity Developer is an integral member of the Autism project’s user experience team, whose primary role is to build solutions that impact the delivery of therapy and care for individuals diagnosed with Autism. Ongoing research initiatives include prototyping games and applications around the Microsoft Kinect platform and building support infrastructure on web and mobile. Responsibilities: Collaborate and brainstorm on game design, ideation and design plan Execute development of individual mini games Working with existing code base to enhance game play, AI strategies etc. Developing software, writing code, documentation and testing Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field 2+ years’ experience with Unity 3D Strong analytic and programming ability Demonstrated experience working in a team environment Excellent communication skills and ability to express ideas effectively Preferred languages: C++, C# or JavaScript Strong understanding of math skills – 2D/3D Passion for designing and developing games Ability to work independently and under pressure Differentiating Qualifications: Experience with Kinect SDK in Unity Experience in NUI design Experience with a major 3D game engine Titles published on a major gaming platform Experience in sketching, wireframing or design 1+ years’ work experience in software development Please include a project portfolio or samples of your work with the submission of application.
